Yesterday we drove up to Fukuoka with the Sallie and her family to watch the Softbank Hawks play baseball. The Hawks are one of the professional baseball teams here in Japan. We had a lot of fun despite the Hawks losing 9-6 to the Chiba Lotte Marines. The Japanese really get into their baseball with singing and beating together 2 bats during the game. We will Definitely go again.

My Mt Fuji adventure
530 AM waiting on the van to pick me up for my 16 hour drive to Mt Fuji. Branding of the sticks. I was able to make it all the way to the 9.5 station on the Fujinomiya trail. After I left the 8th station I began to get dizzy and my heart began to race, this was very unusual for me as I have climbed 4 mountains in the last 2 months and had not had any problems before, I slowed my pace down and was hoping this would take care of the problem. I reached the 9th station not any better and began to feel nauseous. We moved on to the 9.5 station and this is where I can officially say I puked on Fuji. ( I can laugh now) I took in 2 oxygen tanks hoping this would be the cure as I only had 600 feet to go to the top of this 12,776 foot Mt. The oxygen did nothing for me my pulse was 127 and my oxygen level was down to 83 when it should of been 99. I was feeling worse and the reality of me not getting to the top was setting in causing me to cry and making it even harder to breathe. The decision was made that I was to go down the Mt and would not be making it to the top. The broke my heart but I know there is no way I could of reached the top without passing out. A great friend of mine Sallie told me she would come down the Mt with me but I told her no, she graciously took my stick and got it branded at the top of the Mt. My mind is still debating if I should try it again next year or if my journey on the Mt is over. Time will tell. Enjoy the pictures below.
Good Luck pole, for making it to the top.
Had to pay to use the bathroom at each station I spent about 2000 yen which is about $21.00. I had drank 3 liters of water before getting to the 8th station.
This is how they recycle the poop lol
