We woke up this morning to breakfast being made by Amber and Autum, they made French Toast :) We were being lazy and I figured it would be a day at home. We all decided to go on a adventure looking for the Nagasaki waterfall. So we left with NO MAP it was my intention to leave without a map then we headed for Nagasaki and decided if we couldn't find the waterfalls we would eventually stumble onto something. As we were driving we came upon a sign for the Peace Park and we took the turn and this is what we found. A Memorial for the Atomic Bombing. We never did find the Waterfalls but we were still happy. I don't always recommend leaving the house without a map but everything worked out for us at least this trip :)

Here the Japanese Take water from a cup and pour over the Flowers are way of representing that when the Atomic Bomb exploded on August 9, 1945 thousands of people suffered terrible burns and died begging for water. The Fountain of Peace was built to remind us of the victims and to wish for world peace.
This is the Statue of Peace was built in August 1965 for the 10th Anniversary of the bombing. The folding right leg represents quiet meditation. The right arm points to the threat of Nuclear Bombs. The closed eyes represents a prayer for all war victims.
The out stretched left hand represents tranquility and world peace. The left legged is poised for action to assist humanity.
