Harmonyland

Thursday night Sallie and I decided to go to Beppu for 2 days, both our husbands are deployed right now so us 2 moms taking 6 kids 3 hours away on a little trip doesn't sound hard right? Just needed to rent a van, pack a cooler, install 4 car seats, pack 1 double stroller and 1 regular stroller, 2 pack and plays, luggage and of course all the extras, and don't forget load the 6 kids. We went down to MWR and made reservations for the hotel and by the way this weekend is one of the busiest in Japan so lots of people would be traveling for their holiday. We literally got the last 2 rooms in the hotel. Saturday morning we planned on heading out at 9am ( actually got out about 10:00) not bad for all we had to do the morning of our trip. Day one was Harmonyland this was a little amusement park dedicated to nothing but Hello Kitty. None of my girls are into Hello Kitty but they had a great time and enjoyed the park.

No meltdowns and everyone was in a good mood, and ready to go eat at McDonald's and then head for the hotel. Day 1 was a big success looking forward to tomorrow when we head out for the 8 Hells of Beppu and take part in a sand bath.
